Main Task

Construction of main film:
When putting together and editing my footage, I used Adobe Premiere as I found that this software was very helpful with the various editing options there were, such as audio transitions, video effects and transitions and also the colour balance tool, which I found very helpful. This helped to explain my creative decision in terms of applying Barthes semiotics theory to use colours to help connote feelings. With the use of the red and blue filters in the colour balance tool, this helped create the mood for the scene where Sedly and Louise are in the restaurant. During this scene, Sedly is nervous, therefore I used the blue filter to convey this emotion, whereas Louise is in love and so I used a red filter for her scenes. The shift between the two colours was used to navigate the mood for the two main characters and certain situations. For example when Louise begins to take her coat off in front of Sedly, the colour shifts from blue to red to illustrate passion and the coolness of the whole moment.
